My New SIGNATURE!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I will be the first to admit that I am not so quick on the computer stuff, but after watching this YouTube video by Jessica Stanford on creating your own blog signature I can officially state that I am capable of following directions.  ( I had to watch it once all the way through, then I did the whole start and stop while trying to do it myself bit, then when I got behind and "yes I did" I had fun reversing, and fast forwarding it)  Is my new signature going to rock this world with its awesomeness, ha, not likely but it is way better than the not so existent one I have currently.  YES!!  It is colorful, has my name, and as I laugh writing this I was channeling a LITTLE Chitty Chitty Bang Bang action.  I love the music in that movie.  Truly Scrumptious is one of my absolute favs, so of coarse this lady just had to be Yours Truly

As is always evident when I write a post I am quite scatter brained, and this is no exception but I wanted the let all those who know me be aware that this number nerd found a small shred of computer savy enough to make my new cute signature that I can now enjoy when I close out any new blog post.

And just because I now have the lyrics to this song humming through my head here they are for you to enjoy (One of my favorite songs from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang)

Truly Scrumptious

Toot sweets sound like what they are
So do lollys in a lollypop jar
Gingerbread men have a gingerbread sound, we've found
Sugar plum cinnamon and lemon tart tell you what they are right from the
start
And your name does the same for you
By coincidence, Truly Scrumptious
You're truly truly scrumptious
Scrumptious as a cherry peach parfait
When your near us
It's so delicious
Honest Truly, you're the answer to our wishes
Truly Scrumptious
Though we may seem presumptuous
Never, never, ever go away
Our hearts beat so unruly
Because we love you truly
Honest Truly, we do
Truly scrumptious
You two are truly scrumptious
Scrumptious as the breeze across the bay
When you're smiling
It's so delicious
So beguiling
You're the answer to my wishes
Truly scrumptious
You two are truly scrumptious
And I shan't forget this lovely day
My heart beats so unruly
I also love you truly
Honest truly, I do

I have not forgotten

It has been too too long since I have sat down to update this blog that I had such great hope for. The ideas that I could not wait to write down have flown from my brain and as I look at the last post I come to realize that time has past me by.  I want to make this a record, I want this to mean something special to me, and one day I want to be able to scan through some of the rough times I had when my kids were little and see the amazing people they have grown to be.
I may be as scatter brained as moms come but my over ambitious motivation frequently has fruitful rewards so if you just want to come hang out to see what all goes on with this Craft Geeky momma I hope you come visit often.

By the way that cute little girl from our last post is not so little.  I might cry for hours after her her next birthday when she turns TWO because it will be my way of mourning the passing of my last little girls baby years.  We are the proud parents of three healthy, beautiful, smart, and full of love children, and even when you know that you know that YOU KNOW you are done having kids you still find sorrow in the what ifs.  It has been hard to firmly plant my foot down and state that we are done and our family is complete (in great part because of my OCD issues and hating odd numbers), but this stay at home mom has to have a small amount of sanity left to survive those dreaded teenage years.

With hope and love for the great blessings in store

Yours Sincerely,

Rachel

Paid in Full

I thought this day would never come....  I am pretty sure the hospital and all parties involved probably doubted it too but alas today we did what we have been trying to do for the last 10 months.  We finally paid off all the medical bills, both for Laurel's birth and all others tied to my expenses.   It feels amazing to know that we are done and we are on our way to saving money which almost has a dessert kind of taste in my mouth.  Saving money for the last 6 years, this has almost been a foreign concept mostly because I have not been good at it and because we found ourselves on a role in the baby making department.  We always hoped to have a big family and like so many of our friends with large families there is quite an expense that comes with these bundles of joy.  For 6 years we have finished paying for one baby just as we found ourselves creating a new one and we are happy that this adventure has found a happy end.

We were fortunate this time to have been able to also get Paul's hernia surgery scheduled close to when the baby was born which from an insurance point of view worked out well but almost double the paper work to process "all this wellness and healing" so I am so thankful and full of joy to know that we are finally done paying off our newest addition to the Adair family, and I am happy to say she is.....

Star Wars Art

I have been having quite a time enjoying the pins and fun finds that friends and family have found on Pinterest and it should come as no surprise to all those who know me that I love buttons so imagine my elation on all the projects and etsy shops that have done just that work with buttons.  It is truly astounding to see all the things that these colorful wonderful things can make, and become with just a bit of work, and creativity.   I recently settled on a name for both this blog and my own etsy shop, which you can find here, craftgeeky.etsy.com, and I have been hard at work geeking out.  My husband was the inspiration behind this awesomely evil skull that some Star Wars fans I know will recognize so I hope you enjoy this pic that he himself took for me and hopefully soon you will find the Mythosaur Skull in my shop just waiting for a home.  If there is not love out there for him I am sure that my husband will not be heart broken as he will likely find a good home for him in our computer room.  If there is any requests for different colors don't hesitate to convo me at my etsy shop.

Star Wars Art.

The Mythosaur Skull is the traditional symbol of the Mandalorians.
